The beginning Video Game Systems

MAGNAVOX ODYSSEY
The beginning!

Before Atari, there was the Odyssey.  For those of you who don't know what the Odyssey was, it was the first home video game system ever and a piece of video game history.  Released in 1972, (we're going way back here) it only played its built in pong-like game and some interchangeable cartridges.  Finding one can be very difficult........ sadly, I don't have one either (email me if you have one you wish to sell!).  Don't forget the Odyssey2!  A cartridge based unit that features a built in keyboard.

FAIRCHILD CHANNEL F
A good way to make a few extra bucks:  Cartridges!

Channel F was released in 1976 just before the release of the Atari VCS.  Another tough find for collectors.

Here's the RCA Studio II
A forgettable game system, which is why RCA is no longer in the game business.

Emerson Arcadia 2001: I'll be honest with you, "I don't know what the HELL this is"
