The beginning Video Game Systems |
|
MAGNAVOX
ODYSSEY |
Before Atari, there was the Odyssey. For those of you who don't know what the Odyssey was, it was the first home video game system ever and a piece of video game history. Released in 1972, (we're going way back here) it only played its built in pong-like game and some interchangeable cartridges. Finding one can be very difficult........ sadly, I don't have one either (email me if you have one you wish to sell!). Don't forget the Odyssey2! A cartridge based unit that features a built in keyboard. |
FAIRCHILD
CHANNEL F |
Channel F was released in 1976 just before the release of the Atari VCS. Another tough find for collectors.

Here's the RCA Studio II
A forgettable game system, which is why RCA is no longer in the game business.
