GAME OF THE MONTH COLLECTION:
MEGA MAN!!
The game was called Rock Man in Japan
The
original Mega Man (Capcom, 1987, NintendoEntertainmentSystem)
Yes! It was only a matter of time but one of my personal favorites while growing
up has a kid is now the Game of the Month; the very first Mega Man game. How
can I NOT name this Game of the Month! It's a legend and is quite rare now of
days. The series has become very popular over the years and you can see all
the Mega Man games listed below (I may of forgot some them though) some of the
games may have not changed much over the years but you really can't go wrong
with a good Mega Man game.
There are only 6robots in the first Mega Man , not the usual 8.
In this game, the first Mega Man, (the one with the kinda crappy artwork on it) you have to stop your creator's (Dr. Light) 6 other robots that have gone berzerk and are destroying the city. The robots are IceMan, GutsMan, BombMan, FireMan, CutMan, and ElecMan, each one has a stage filled with enemies. Once you defeat one of the robots Mega Man has the ability to steal their weapon like GutsMan's strength and BombMan's Bomb. No other game has done this before and it made the game more playable because some weapons work better than others in certain areas like CutMan's Blade will kill ElecMan in two hits and BombMan's bombs will destroy smaller enemies that the normal weapon wouldn't. After all the 6robots are defeated you'll see who is behind this whole mess...... the evil Dr. Wily.
Here's my drawing of Mega Man!
Dr. Wily was once Dr. Light's parther but Wily's experiments were too controversial
and he was bandish from the scientific community. Now he wants revenge on the
city of megalopolis and Dr. Light. The original Mega Man has only 10 stages
in the game (the 6robot stages and 4 Dr. Wily stages) unlike other the Mega
Man games, this game has a score keeper, so if ever get bored by finishing the
game you can see if you can beat your last score. If you never played this game
before than I should warn you that's very challenging, there are no passwords
or cheat codes to help you and some of the game's jumps and bosses are fairly
hard. Despite the difficulty it really never seems impossible and the game drives
you to try again plus the music is unforgettable and the graphics are very stylist
and are perfect for the game. The first Mega Man is a must for any die hard
NES fan or any Video game fan for that matter.
