DOWN AND DIRTY REVIEWS:  ATARI JAGUAR
The world's first 64-bit system and its games.  How do they do?  Don't look Atari fans, it could get ugly.
The scores are out of 100.

ALIEN VS. PREDATOR (Atari/Rebellion, 1994)
I was bored after a couple of plays in this 3Dcorridor shooter because of the long lenght of the levels and lack of save points, amazing graphics though. Plays as three different characters, a Marine, a Predator, or a Alien. For Doom fans only.
*Battery back up game.
*Rare Jaguar game*
For 1player only.
graphics: 8
sound: 6
gameplay: 8

34 CHECKERED FLAG (Atari, 1994)
The frame-rate sucks in this polygon racer based on the old Lynx game. The Jaguar game did try some new features like weather changes and car customation but it doesn't work in all modes like Tournament. A poor man's Virtual Racing with strange and annoying music.
For 1player only.
graphics: 4
sound: 3
gameplay: 6

75 CANNON FODDER  (Virgin, 1995)
Loads of violent, but small, action. Recommend!
For 1player only.
graphics: 5
sound: 6
gameplay: 7

58 CYBERMORPH (Atari, October, 1993)
a full, and somewhat dull 3D flight/action game that came packed in most Atari Jaguar's. Search for items
and power ups on several different planets to complete your mission. The game looks very similar to Star Fox. Not your average shoot em up, this game is very deep.... maybe a little too deep.
*Battery back up game.
For 1player only.
graphics: 5
sound: 4
gameplay: 8

44 DINO DUDES (Atari, December, 1993)
a Lemming style clone with tons of levels. Too repeatitive!
For 1player only.
graphics: 6
sound: 5
gameplay: 5

62 DOOM  (1994)
It's the same game from the PC minus the game music.
*Battery back up game.

32 DRAGON  (Virgin, 1994)
The too hard to control fighting game based on the movie Dragon the Bruce Lee story.
For 1 or 2players.
graphics: 5
sound: 5
gameplay: 3

67 IRON SOLDIER (1994)
A cool 3D mech shooter with very basic polygon graphics. Use your enemies phototype 40ton Iron Soldier to destroy their invading armies.
For 1player only.
graphics: 5
sound: 6
gameplay: 8

40 KASUMI NINJA  (Atari, 1994)
A extremely limited 2Dfighter. Select from 2 twin ninja brothers on there quest to meet some other ninja master. Defeat six other fighters throughout history and use them in battle after you win the fight. Sounds kinda cool and the backgrounds look really awesome but it's very hard to control each fighter and the overall game is too chunky. Pointless use of blood and has a really stupid ending.
*Battery back up game.
For 1 or 2players.
graphics: 8
sound: 7
gameplay: 2

67 RAIDEN (Atari, November 1993)
it's a fun translation of the arcade hit because it's saves the high scores at least and new music has been added to the mix. Where is Raiden II, I want that instead!
*Battery back up game.
For 1 or 2players.
graphics: 5
sound: 5
gameplay: 6

79 RAYMAN (UBIsoft, June 1995)
A amazing looking 2Dgame that's fun and challenging too.
The game is a little linear at times but it should keep Jaguar fans happy for a while. A must play on any game system.
*Battery back up game.
*Rare Jaguar game*
For 1player only.
graphics: 9
sound: 7
gameplay: 7

BEST ATARI JAGUAR GAME!!
80 TEMPEST 2000 (Atari, 1994)
The awesome update to a classic arcade hit with very cool techno music. Shoot invading aliens entering a enclosed vector web, destroy them all to exit to the next level. Over 100levels and loads of modes too.
*Battery back up game.
For 1 or 2players.

graphics: 8
sound: 10
gameplay: 7

46 TREVOR MC FUR IN C. GALAXY (Atari, 1993)
A really basic shooter with little strategy involved. One of the first games for the Jaguar.
*Battery back up game.

For 1 or 2players.
graphics: 7
sound: 4
gameplay: 6

60 WOLFINSTIEN 3D (Atari, 1994)
destroy the Nazi empire in this uncresored (unlike the SuperNES version) 3D shooter that was the prequel to the Doom series by IDsoftware. Fun but outdated compared to Doom which was just released for the Jaguar a few months later in 1994.
*Battery back up game.

For 1player only.
graphics: 5
sound: 6
gameplay: 8
